Rolling Assignment 2: Literature Reviews

Each person in the group needs to read and review 2 papers every week. This will be due every Thursday.

Here's the form for the review: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HPUfQJCsa-roMdsqx3djKQ58VvUqmWPrBg07GQxhsYA/edit

Rolling Assignment 1: Interviews

Interview two people related to your project every week. You will have to present your findings every Monday in class.

Initially, when interviewing people, don't necessarily start by suggesting your solution to them, ask them what they think might work to solve your problem. This is to get ideas you might not necessarily have thought of before.

Assignment 4: Gantt Chart

Due Date: Sept. 18

Plan out the semester, dividing tasks up by who will be doing them.

This is a pretty good example of one, though the only columns I really want you have before the date columns are start date and end date. Also use colors to divide up tasks by person, so in this example maybe blue is one person, and grey is another.

You should be able to make this in Excel or Project.

Assignment 3: Thesis Proposal

Due Date: Sept 16, 2015

Here's the link to the requirements for this: http://hur.tamu.edu/UGR/UGRS/Apply/Undergraduate-Research-Scholars-Proposal

This needs to be submitted by Sept 20, 2015 at 5:00 PM, so I'm making it due 4 days earlier so both Dr. Hammond and I can review it  and you can make any corrections necessary before you officially submit it.

Assignment 2: List of 10 Papers

Due Date: Sept 9, 2015

Find 10 papers relating to your subject. A good place to search is scholar.google.com. You don't have to fully read all 10 papers, just read the titles and skim the abstracts. Submit a list of the 10 papers.
